Assassin's Creed Odyssey: 10 Reasons It's The Best In The Series
5. Side Missions Aren't A Grind
This may seem like a half-baked compliment, but the fact that Odyssey and its side missions aren't so much of a grind practically saves the game.
Let's not get this confused here, Odyssey's size means that it would be very hard to get through the game without doing at least a few of the side missions.
However, in comparison to something like Origins, which made it near impossible to get through the main story quest without doing a ton of side-quests, Odyssey lets you do them at your own pace and that makes them much more rewarding.
Unless you really rush through the game, you won't be needing to stop and do some chores, which is a big improvement from Origins. Some of these side missions are actually quite a lot of fun too, with expanding plotlines and characters.
Microtransactions to speed up progression may be shoved in the players face, but they're pretty much not needed, which is a god send.
