Assassin's Creed Odyssey: 10 Reasons It's The Best In The Series

3. You Actually Get Choice

In the attempt to make the Assassin's Creed games even more like RPGs, Odyssey gives players choices at every single turn.

This may not seem like such a big addition considering previous Assassin's Creeds never lacked a feature like this, but it's exactly what makes the feature stand out so much.

Now whenever you talk to another character, you are often given the choice of what to say in the conversation. It's not always drastic, but it gives the protagonist a ton more personality.

These aren't just dialogue choices either. One early example has you deciding the fate of a few over the fate of many. It's a bit of a gut-punch.

Not all of these choices are happy ones, and that's something that Odyssey does really well. You can't always pick a happy ending after all, and that makes each choice actually quite impactful.

Assassin's Creed won't be the same if this doesn't return.
