Assassin's Creed Origins: 10 Things It Needs To Deliver

6. The Gods

Egyptian religion is polytheistic, and there are a LOT of gods.

It's already confirmed that the priesthood of Sobek, crocodile-headed deity of the Nile, is about and doing their thing in-game. Presumably churches of other animal-headed oddballs will show up as Bayek roams the land, providing plenty of targets among corrupt priests and general evildoers.

Like a physical representation of the underworld, the gods themselves could show up in-game as particularly ruthless mortals masquerading as Egyptian deities for their own nefarious ends.

A theme of the game series is how religion is used by the greedy or power-hungry, and Bayek could lay some righteous divine smackdown on the mortal usurpers of Sobek, Thoth the Ibis-headed god of wisdom, Jackal-headed fan favourite Anubis, and the rest of the Egyptian god gang.
