Assassin's Creed Unity: 5 Things We Can Expect To See

1. The Rise Of Napoleon

So far the only Assassin's Creed game to get direct sequels has been AC2, with Ezio in the lead role, but it makes perfect sense for Ubisoft to think up a way to focus on a run of dramatic events over a course of years, which could be broken up into multiple games in order to get the most out of the same models and voice actors. This might well be the plan with Unity, because following the French Revolution, you have the Napoleonic Wars, which would offer the irresistible opportunity to align with the dictator himself, who would help to link all of those different segments together. While the Tyranny of King Washington was a bit of fake history thrown into AC3 for good measure, this could be a very real storyline for future sequels to Unity. Plus if Ubisoft do go that route, then they'll be able to use their sea engine to create the most famous battle between sail powered ships of all time €“ the Battle of Trafalgar. Not only that, but if there is more than one sequel, Ubisoft will be able to use the next generation technology to push the boundaries of what can be seen on screen by re-creating the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. By starting with Napoleon's story in the French Revolution, Ubisoft will have chosen a very rich set of scenarios that could easily result in a trilogy. It's important not to forget that Assassin's Creed 2 showed Napoleon with an Apple of Eden, and hopefully we're going to see when and how he manages to get that at some point too...
