Assassin's Creed Unity: 5 Things We Can Expect To See

2. Exporting The Revolution

The French Revolution wasn't simply an internal affair within France, as the revolutionists wanted to export their anti-Monarchist principles throughout mainland Europe. This resulted in a series of wars being fought by French armies during the course of the Revolution itself. This might potentially mean that we could see the hero travel to these lands outside of France. Among these most predominantly could be the Netherlands, where the French armies fought the Austrians, the British and the Dutch, and were driven back when the other countries formed a coalition against France and pushed them back to their borders. After a couple of stirring victories the French managed to invade once again in 1795 with the collation collapsing except for Britain and Austria who still opposed the French Republic. With all that occurring at the same time not too far from Paris, it would be fair to assume that the titular assassin will be involved, as it'd make an interesting break for the gamer from running around preventing people from being beheaded. Such detours have taken place previously in other Assassin's Creed outings, and it would be logical for this to follow that path if only to provide some extra variety... as well as some background for potential future sequels.
