Assassin's Creed V: 5 Things We Know So Far

Speculation on the internet is rife about the next game in the Assassin's Creed series. It has a huge following amongst gamers €“ some ten million copies have been sold so far of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and that was actually less than Assassin's Creed III which had sold twelve million by this point last year. Gamers have come accustomed to a yearly release of games, and in order to do this Ubisoft have different development teams working on each game allowing them longer to develop each game. This means that Assassin's Creed III was not made by the same team as IV €“ which is interesting food for thought when you think about the reaction to each of those versions; the third game being seen by critics as a low point in the series so far. So does this mean that Assassin's Creed V has been developed by the same team as III? Possibly. The only thing we can say is that it hasn't been developed by the team behind Black Flag. But interestingly enough it also means that it could have been developed by the same team as Assassin's Creed II: Revelations if there are three development teams €“ mean that V might be an absolute cracker of a game. There has also been long speculation that there might actually be two games coming out in 2014 and Ubisoft are yet to deny this. The release of Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD last year was the first time that a console release was received for a game not involved in the ongoing storyline, and the game itself was talked about in-game during Black Flag. So potentially we might have another game along these lines coming our way if suitable teases are placed in V too. But this is mere speculation, with the internet managing to weasel many nuggets of information out of Ubisoft so far.
