2. Backstory

The character's backstory is what defines them. It is what makes them who they are now. All of Desmond's ancestors have their own story and they are all interesting, but who's is best?
Altair: He was raised as an assassin and it's all he knows. He, like countless others, had to go through vigorous training and slowly level up to where he is now. Although it is a great story, it really didn't seem like anything special. He had a great story in the game, but we never really go to learn about his past, thusly leaving the character feeling like just another member of the brotherhood. He gets a
5/10 in backstory.
Ezio: We have followed Ezio's story for three games and we were with him in the beginning. As opposed to Altair (who was already fully trained), we had the chance to feel the part of a assassin in training. He wasn't all that good when he started off but that was the beauty of his story. We all got excited when Da Vinci made us a new weapon or we got the Armor Of Altair. The entirety of Assassin's Creed 2 was Ezio's backstory. It defined the next two games and his overall character. There were some times when I would have liked to know more but I was happy to get anything after my disappointment with Altair. Ezio gets a
9/10 for backstory.
Connor: We know that Connor is from a Native American tribe which was destroyed by soldiers, forcing him to run. That's where our game starts off. We will get to start playing as him since as a kid and most likely get to train him to be the ultimate assassin. I've heard that there will be some form of a teacher or mentor helping us along the way. It will be extremely satisfying to complete the training and go out into the world and use your skills. Connor gets an
7/10 for backstory.
