BAFTA Games 2013: Overview Of The Night's Events And Winners

Best Story

Bafta One that I think I care most about, the best story award has a slew of nominees that do more than just create a fascinating world and characters but create a journey worth playing. Similar to the award for best original music, this is an award that grows even more competitive as an investment in writers grows, it's great to see how the storytelling of games have developed from Asteroids to the nominees below. The Nominations The Walking Dead Thomas Was Alone Far Cry 3 Dishonored Journey Mass Effect 3 Winner The Walking Dead An incredible achievement for TellTale Games, the creators of The Walking Dead, who established a number of incredible characters for the spin off of the hit American TV show and graphic novel. More of an interactive story than a video game, the tale follows protagonist Lee, a convicted felon on his way to prison who is knocked unconscious. Awaking to the sight of a walker he seeks refuge an a nearby home and discovers Clementine, hiding in her tree house, Lee offers to help protect and find the parents of the young girl. Both the voice actor of Lee and actress of Clementine are up for the best performance award.
