Bafta One's To Watch

Star Crossed

The award, in association with Dare To Be Digital is given by Ian Livingstone, fantasy author. As he takes to the stage he announces, "You're so lucky to be in the games industry right now." Which sounds as equally inspiring to new developers as it does sound terrfying. The award is for games thought to bring great things in the future, which is usually the case with last years winner Tick Tock Toys now having its own iOS release. The Nominations Pixel Story Starcrossed Project Thanatos Winner Star Crossed Despite all games looking fantastic, Starcrossed, a Windows Phone title took the award. The game was created at the University of Abertay in a nine-week long competition. The game involves using your character to move your way around a number of huge planets and collecting stars on the way, achieved by propelling yourself with a rocket launcher... which isn't advised.
