Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Killer Ways To Resurrect The Joker
8. Mr. Sandman, Bring Me A Dream
Arkham City opened up with a fantastic - albeit brief - opening sequence showcasing Catwoman taking on Two-Face's goons, leading us into one of the best main storylines in video game history. What if we opened up Arkham Knight with something similar? Maybe, an opening sequence that involves one of Batman and Joker's many run-ins, and at the end of it, a brilliant flash swallows up the screen and the next scene is of Bruce Wayne bolting upright in bed, dripping with sweat. It could all be a nightmare, something that ties into the main story of Arkham Knight? Jason Todd could very well be making an appearance in Arkham Knight, so perhaps the opening sequence could be a nightmare in which Bruce Wayne relives a portion of A Death in the Family, the classic tale where The Joker brutalises and murders Batman's second Boy Wonder. Or, the entire nightmare could be an original concept or imagining of one of Batman's many clashes with his most infamous rival. The nightmare aspect - along with my suggestions involving Mad Hatter and The Scarecrow - is another excellent way to include Joker without negating his death from Arkham City or trying to shoehorn him into the overall main story of Rocksteady's third iteration into the series.
