Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Killer Ways To Resurrect The Joker
6. What A Doll
Have you been reading DC's New 52? If not, you're really missing out. Spoiler alert ahead! A villain known as The Dollmaker helped The Joker remove the skin from his own face! It was ghastly, it was gruesome, and it truly ranks as one of The Joker's most definitive moments. Naturally, it's something that Rocksteady could easily include in their gritty series of Batman-themed games! Now that we have all the scenarios out of the way that involve bringing The Joker back via hallucinations, nightmares, and PTSD; let's investigate the morbidity of the other members of Batman's rogues gallery. Let's say The Joker is truly dead, gone, and buried. What's a great way to include him and put a different spin on the character in Arkham Knight? Why not have the psychotic Dollmaker skin Joker's face from his corpse and make a mask out of it, enabling an impostor to take up his mantle? Not only does The Dollmaker skin people's faces, he pulls people's bodies apart and stitches them together. We could see Dollmaker pull off a disgusting stunt like this in order to gain a psychological advantage over the Caped Crusader or, to go the extra mile, we could see Dollmaker create a Joker mask at the request of Harley Quinn, and she could force someone to wear it so she feels as if she's still with her beloved Puddin'. It's freaky. It's insane. It's totally plausible in the Batman Universe.
