Batman: Arkham Knight Batgirl DLC - 9 Big Things It Finally Gets Right
5. Joker's Antics
Though yes, the majority of Bat-fans appear to be suffering from severe Joker fatigue, this DLC arguably featured some of the rogue's best Arkham moments yet - with the finale in particular showing a cartoonish escape worthy of the arch rogue's hall of fame. It also expands upon one of Knight's most fudged plot elements - that being the family's relationship with Batman and how instrumental they are to his work. It was a device with no clear message, but a Matter of Family goes to great lengths to try and rectify this - using The Joker's jealousy as a key plot point. The story insinuates that The Dark Knight's arch rogue has become tired of the family - seeing them as a distraction to his toxic obsession with Batman and the relationship the two hold. It does more to explain this element in two hours than Knight did in its many, so that's certainly something worthy of note. Just be thankful the next pieces of content will be a Joker-free experience.
