Batman: Arkham - Ranking The 10 Greatest Villains So Far

7. Bane

Bane appears in all of the Arkham games up through Arkham Origins, where he plays his largest role. Our introduction to Bane in the games is one of the most jaw-dropping in the series. A scrawny, deflated Bane is suspended from the ceiling like a marionette. Joker then pumps him to the gills with Titan formula, enabling him to tear free and commence the fight. In Arkham City, Bane is in a smaller side mission, but it's in Arkham Origins where he's finally given real screen time to pose a decent threat to Batman. We see Bane as the influential crime boss that the character truly is. He arrives in Gotham as one of the assassins hired to kill Batman. The entire hotel conflict with Bane and Joker is epic, and ends with Bane creating a classic Batman/Joker co-dependency scene by blowing Joker off the ledge of the building with a bazooka (who is, of course, saved by the Caped Crusader). The second Bane fight is equally entertaining and pushes Batman to his moral edge, as he has to beat the tar out of Bane in Blackgate, but ultimately save his life as well.
