Battlefield 1: 10 Problems From The Beta That Must Be Fixed

2. Conquest Needs To Return To Its Old Form

When you think of Battlefield multiplayer, there's two game modes that come to mind: Conquest and Rush. Both of which were featured in the beta, but one was nothing but a shadow of its former self. Gone was the ticket bleed, and now it was the first to a set score to win, which at first almost never happened thanks to the time limit in place.

Halfway through the beta's life however, this time limit was removed, allowing Conquest matches to be played out from start to finish. It was the first step in fixing conquest, but some work still needs to be done, as it just feels like a glorified game of Domination.

With deaths and kills no longer affecting the score with the removal of a ticket bleed, death carries absolutely no weight. Constantly storming towards the enemy with zero strategy, just hoping something works out eventually no longer has its consequences.

Yes, you won't necessarily be helping your team, but you won't be hurting them nearly as much as you would have been either. And now that death carries no price, there's zero motivation for players to run the Medic class, other than just wanting to be a "team player." Revives no longer save your team from losing a ticket, it just saves your teammates from having a death on their record.

Of course, there are the arguments these changes made to Conquest are for the better. Now players are forced to play and not sit out with a sniper rifle, or do nothing but go for kills anywhere other than the objective. Understandable, but why not make what's considered Conquest now in Battlefield 1 it's own Domination playlist, and bring back the Conquest Battlefield players know and love as well?

There's really no reason we can't have both, and that way, everybody wins.
