Battlefield 1: 10 Problems From The Beta That Must Be Fixed
3. Stop Making A Medic's Life So Difficult
Go on, think of how many times you were revived, thrown health or even ammo while playing the Battlefield 1 beta. It's a safe bet the number wasn't very high. While it could have been because you were playing with incompetent teammates, chances are it was because your friendly neighbourhood Medic simply didn't know you needed help in the first place.
Teammate health is now represented as a bar around the very tiny circle that pops up above their head, which makes deciding who does and doesn't need health more difficult, as it's very hard to see. When a player does die, you can't see they need a revive unless they manually prompt it - and that almost never happens, as players choose to skip the revive, sending them to pick a spawn location without reducing the respawn time. Skipping the revive period is actually pointless and should simply not be allowed, as it makes medics unable to fulfil their role.
Also, throwing a med pack down will sometimes result in it clipping through the map and disappearing. While this is more certainly a graphical problem, it affects the Medic class directly, and is just yet another thing making their role feel harder to accomplish.
