Before FIFA 13: The Evolution Of Football's Biggest Gaming Franchise

1998 - FIFA 99 The indoor football mode was removed from this game, banished and never to the seen again in the series. the Malaysian league was removed also, replaced by the Belgian First Division and the Portuguese Liga. With these changes, the game also featured much better graphics than ever before. Footballers were for the first time in the series given different heights and had their own, albeit basic, facial expressions. Whilst club emblems weren't used, the kits looked more realistic and similar to the actual thing, as seen with Manchester United, above. More customisational features were added, too, with gamers being allowed to create custom cups, tournaments and leagues, before choosing which teams they wanted to compete in them.
