Before GTA V: 10 Biggest 'WTF' Moments From GTA History
1. The Jetpack (San Andreas)
Ah, the famous jetpack. Is there a bigger WTF moment in GTAs long and illustrious history? After stealing the prototype Jetpack (in the previous mission, Black Project), when activating the mission Green Goo for conspiracy nut The Truth, youre given this amazing piece of GTA tech for the duration of the mission and beyond (for as long as you can keep it and remain alive). Its just such a wonderfully bizarre and insane moment. Youll arrive at the mission start point, all ready to drive or shoot your way through some situation or other; its only when the cut scene ends that you fully realise exactly how youll be travelling. In style, my friend. In true style.
The jetpack is an awesome piece of kit, effectively allowing CJ to become an unstoppable winged angel of death and destruction. You can still die while strapped into the thing of course, but with the ability to essentially vacate a crime scene in around 5 seconds flat, youll find it much easier to escape even the top star wanted level.
Alas, its generally a short lived experience (you can find another Jetpack in Area 69 after completing the Black Project mission, although exploits are needed to reach it as it's pretty well guarded), but suffice to say, the discovery and subsequent flight of the Jetpack is, for me at least, amongst the biggest and greatest WTF?! Moments in the GTA franchise so far.
