3. Lazlow Jones (GTA III Onward)
Though not a character we personally engage with during the GTA games, Lazlow is as indicative of GTA's iconography as anyone. One of the most anticipated aspects of any GTA game is the radio stations, specifically the contributions of Lazlow Jones, a real-life talk show host who just so happens to have lent his vocal and written talents to the GTA world. It all began with the brilliant Chatterbox FM radio station in GTA III, and off the back of that, Lazlow not only enjoyed success co-writing the radio stations with the Houser brothers, but he was also hired to write much of the ancillary pedestrian dialogue. By the time GTA IV came around, the character of Lazlow had morphed into a Howard Beale-type who is angry with life, and the hope is that he will be returning for GTA V, despite no official word on the matter yet. Given his participation in every major 3D GTA game, what would it really be without him?
