Before GTA V: 10 Greatest Side Characters in GTA History

5. Brucie Kibbutz

Brucie Kibbutz comes at you early in GTA IV; a tour de force of insecurity and over-compensation that€™s at once hilarious and tragically sad in equal measure. I don€™t think you€™re ever supposed to empathise with him (if you do, you got some issues of your own I think) but you€™re supposed to feel for him in his fundamental denial of reality. Brucie Kibbutz is almost a cautionary character; this is what happens when you try to mask insecurity instead of dealing with it head on. This is what you turn into if you deny who you really are inside. It just so happens that he€™s also often hilarious for the very same reason, a€™la Tobias Fünke from Arrested Development. Comedy is borne from tragedy, after all. Maybe Brucie isn€™t the most important character in GTA IV, but he€™s certainly one of the most memorable. Genetically different baby!
