Before WWE 13: 10 Greatest Wrestling Games Of All Time
8. WWE Day Of Reckoning 2 Released in 2005, Day of Reckoning was the last wrestling game to be released on the GameCube and the first to feature Stone Cold Steve Austin as a Legend. it featured drastically improved graphics over its predecessor, DOR1, and featured a story line that allowed players to choose different paths, making it one of the more customization-able wrestling games of the time. The game featutred four submission moves, Taunt, Rest, Drain and Regular. By using the Taunt submission move, you would drain your opponents momentum, by using Rest, you would kill a bit of time with the grapple whilst recovering stamina. "Drain" drained your opponents stamina as they struggled for freedom, whilst Regular merely inflicted damage on the opponent. This submission system has not been employed in any wrestling game since.
