14. The Tech
Technology got stronger, while we got weaker. And chief among that strong tech is the quadrotor drone that Activision chose to push to the front of the pre-release marketing campaign. There's also the fact that you will be able to hack into the circuits of nearby heavy-armour tech to use them to your own advantage, which can only spell massive funtertainment for those of who aching to get our hands on one of those walking tanks. And, impressively, it's all very plausible. All of the future tech was consulted on by Brookings Institute Senior Fellow and author Peter Singer who ensured that everything we see in the game is grounded in reality.
15. Horse-Back Riding... WTF?
On the other end of the scale, Black Ops 2 will also feature a sequence played out on horse-back. That's right, horse-back. Judging by the official unveil trailer that featured the sequence, the horse-back will be part of an on-rails section, which will offer some diversity in gameplay types, though we can only hope it will be more a more challenging sequence than the far too cinematic on-rails portions of former COD titles. Because no matter how pretty or impressive a section of game looks, if it fundamentally undervalues the role of the gamer, then it's just not worth including. Somewhat typically of the work that always goes into these games, the horses included were motion captured. Of course they were. It seems from the image we'll also be firing weapons from horse-back
