Being killed by a fearsome "Snatcher" will transport the player into this section of Yahar'gul early on in the game. This entrance alone is enough to set Hypogean Gaol as one of the most memorable areas in Bloodborne.

Special props to the formidable enemies around every corner, the dark, twisted layout and the truly terrifying choral chanting that comes from a ritual being conducted nearby...

This area is solid, although having a frightening jail so early in the game can push new players to rush through it and not properly experience the horrors for themselves.
