9. There Have Been Over 100 Playable Characters
The Call of Duty series has featured a huge number of playable characters across the twenty or so releases in its history. In fact, including all of the mobile spinoffs and various gameplay modes, the number is in excess of one hundred. Some of the playable characters featured in the roster will probably be a surprise to any players that haven't been up to date with the latest iterations in the series. Along with everyone's favourite grizzled captain John Price, Call of Duty players have also been able to step in the shoes of Fidel Castro, Richard Nixon, Danny Trejo and, um, Sarah Michelle Gellar. Of course, the more left field characters haven't been a part of the main campaigns (thank god).
