There have been rumblings about more Call of Duty remasters ever since the COD 4 remake dropped alongside Infinite Warfare. Before Black Ops IV came out, the leak doing the rounds was that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would drop before the end of 2018, something which obviously didn't happen. Now we might know the reason: both a MW2 remaster and a MW3 remaster will be bundled into Infinity Ward's new game.

An alleged quality assurance tester for Treyarch has apparently let slip that Modern Warfare 4 will drop with the second and third games, no doubt as a celebration of the franchise and for fans to reignite their passion for the series before jumping into the new title. In theory that could be brilliant, a way to play on the nostalgia fans have for those original titles, while at the same time getting new players up to speed on the series' story.

The biggest question mark, however, hangs over how Activision are planning to sell these games. Bundled into the regular release as standard sounds too good to be true, but holding them hostage behind an expensive pre-order probably isn't a tactic the publisher want to repeat after the Infinite Warfare debacle.

It's a tough spot they're in, especially because they also need to spin one little detail about them...
