The Rampart 17 is the most powerful assault rifle on offer in Call of Duty Black Ops 4, and it seems to be the weapon of choice for many players weeks after initial release. Handling and feeling a bit like the Scar-H from Modern Warfare 2, the Rampart is a deadly weapon which can outgun just about anyone at medium range.

Some have argued that the rifle’s comparatively low fire rate reduces its effectiveness, but the weapon’s lack of recoil make it ideal for mid to long range encounters. As previously stated, the assault rifles in Black Ops 4 are heavily favored by most of the community, and this is absolutely no exception.

Swift run-and-gun style players or SMG users fervently pushing an objective are likely to outgun the Rampart 17 from time to time, but, on the whole, this weapon combines the damage and accuracy of a tactical rifle with the expediency and easy-of-use of an SMG.
