Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Ranking All 20 Primary Weapons
17. Auger DMR
The Auger DMR is the only single-shot tactical rifle available in Black Ops 4’s multiplayer (though some of the game’s sniper rifles can be retrofitted to act as rough tactical rifle approximations). As such, it can be vaguely compared to the underwhelming Shiva assault rifle from Treyarch’s previous Call of Duty title Black Ops 3. Much like the Shiva, The Auger DMR features a relatively high damage ceiling hindered by its slow fire rate.
This gun does come with a set of advantages, of course, and is particularly good for mid-range combat. Plus, the double tap operator mod makes the Auger DMR a pretty formidable weapon, though unlocking that attachment will take a bit of grinding.
The major issue with this rifle, however, is that players put themselves at a significant disadvantage at close range when using it. Solid killstreaks can easily be undone by someone running wild with an MX9 or MOG 12, and Auger DMR users will be in for a tough time unless they create some space between themselves and their attacker or react quickly enough to switch to another weapon.
