Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Ranking All 20 Primary Weapons
18. Cordite
The Cordite is yet another weapon which suffers from Black Ops 4’s SMG nerf. Though not quite the worst of its weapon class, the Cordite seems to offer up endless streams of hitmarkers alongside plenty of lost one-on-one gunfights.
In most cases, the Cordite can take five or six shots to kill depending on an enemy’s health and armor, and the fire rate isn’t quite fast enough to compensate for the low damage. Thanks to the game’s generous health system, players can often dash around corners and remove themselves from harm’s way before their health bar hits zero, and Cordite users must know all too well the pain of letting their prey escape because their weapon just couldn’t finish the job.
There have been far too many instances of someone opening fire with the Cordite on an unaware opponent only to have them spin around and gun down their attacker before the kill can be secured. It isn’t the worst gun available in Black Ops 4, but it’s far from the best, and it manages to be even less effective in zombies.
