Call Of Duty: Every Treyarch Zombies Map Ranked From Worst To Best
22. Tag Der Toten
When it was revealed that the decade-long Aether storyline starting back in World at War was coming to an end, fans were ready for an epic battle, and a lot of tears.
The story ended with Tag der Toten, the final map in Black Ops 4. Yet another remake to add to the bank of only map remakes in Black Ops 4's Aether repertoire, Tag der Toten re-imagined Black Ops' Call of the Dead. A legendary map in itself (which we shall get to later on this list), but with all the things that made the original great stripped out and left feeling hollow.
As much as it was nice to see the Victis crew back once again, not having our final hurrah with Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen felt a little off, though they were present in spirit. The build up to the 'Great War' with Doctor Monty and the Shadowman never really came to fruition.
As much as the ending wrapped pretty much everything up, and it was an emotional one at that, the lack of pure spectacle made an already-tired recurring theme of remake maps in Black Ops 4 worse. We saw the Aether storyline off with more of a whimper than a bang.
