Call Of Duty: Every Treyarch Zombies Map Ranked From Worst To Best
21. Blood Of The Dead
We'll get to Black Ops II's Mob of the Dead in due course, but the announcement of Blood of the Dead for Black Ops 4's launch line up was nothing but exciting.
Filling in a blank in the story between Zetsubou No Shima and Gorod Krovi, the ramifications of Blood of the Dead's narrative changed everything we knew about the latter half of Black Ops III's Zombies saga. Much like other Black Ops 4 remake maps, Blood of the Dead was simply Mob but slightly bigger, things taken out, things added in, and with different characters in the starring roles to who we knew before.
Similar to Tag der Toten, everything that made the original Mob of the Dead so unique and groundbreaking was absent here. Though the easter egg narrative sends off the map with the biggest emotional gut-punch of the entire saga, most playthroughs of Blood make you instead want to boot Black Ops II and instead play the original Mob.
The nostalgia and map layout still tickle the proverbial pickle, Blood wasn't Mob as we remembered, and little did we know, remake fatigue would kick in multiple times throughout Black Ops 4's life.
