6. Crash 1's Green Gem Gets You A TON More Lives

Of all the gems to shoot for in Crash 1, there is one with an immediate benefit - getting you more lives.

This is a two-step process, and sadly the first part is by far the hardest: You're going to need to complete The Lost City whilst breaking all the crates AND not dying. Yup, it might sound doable, but wait until you see that level in action...

Anyway, once you've acquired the Green Gem, head to Castle Machinery, where a new Green Gem pad will be present to your left.

Hop on it and voila - 29 life tokens, ripe for the taking!

Though this is a late-game find, it'll prop your life pool back up considerably after all the deaths it takes to get here.
