Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs
2. Vehicle-Based Controls Have Been Touched Up In Crash 3
I'll get onto the fundamental difference in how Crash controls as one of the negatives, but when Vicarious Visions updated the likes of riding motorcycles or biplanes in Crash 3, they've drastically improved the overall feel.
Mostly down to these modes being experimental inclusions back in 1998, the benefit of a developer who've made all sorts of games over the years means they can touch up these sections perfectly. There's no more being knocked halfway across the road on the motorbike levels, and pirouetting through the sky to blast apart enemy fighter planes feels responsive and incredibly fun.
A small addition on paper as those older sections were serviceable enough, but one that makes Crash 3 all the more incredible.
