Spyro’s Grand Prix will likely bring a couple of characters from the purple dragon’s games, and while Elora is a solid choice, Hunter has to be the clear favourite. The cheetah played a massive part in both Spyro 2 and Spyro 3: Year Of The Dragon, and was hugely popular across both of his appearances.
If anything, his romance with Bianca makes the magical rabbit a dark horse to oust Elora as the second pick, but if Spyro brings any friends at all, Hunter seems nailed on as the first.
He’s vibrant and fun, and with Spyro experiencing a similar renaissance to Crash, will surely be a big part of his games going forward. Bringing him into Crash Team Racing would help cement his place even further.
Spyro, unlike Crash, doesn’t have a central villain like Cortex, and with Sparx a possibility to be his Aku Aku, Spyro’s Coco alternative as his main second in command would be Hunter.
Speaking of Coco, while Elora does have some similarities to her personality, Hunter brings something fresh. His goofy, surfer bro aesthetic meshes in with Crash Team Racing’s sensibilities without stepping on anybody’s toes.
