Cyberpunk 2077: 10 Awesome Cyberpunk Games To Play RIGHT NOW
5. Remember Me
Remember Me was the debut game released by Dontnod Entertainment in 2013.
Remember Me was something of a commercial flop - Dontnod would enjoy much greater success with their second game, Life is Strange. Nevertheless, Remember Me is an interesting effort, albeit with some clumsy mechanics attached to it; mainly in the form of a rather uninspiring melee combat system which forms the lion’s share of the gameplay.
The game is set in a dystopian future version of Paris, ruled by a corporation called Memorize, which specialises in the preservation of treasured memories, or the erasure of memories people would rather forget. However, Memorize isn't always using this technology ethically; instead they're using it to further their own means, wiping peoples' memories to subdue the population and gain power.
It’s a nifty idea and the world is well realised. Dontnod Entertainment have said they would like to make a sequel, but due to the games mediocre financial return, that looks unlikely.
