Dark Souls: 10 Cheats & Glitches That Broke The Game
3. Move Swap Glitch
In each game in the series, there is usually a payoff and a balance between various things. If a weapon does very high damage, then it generally swings slowly and uses more stamina.
Lighter weapons tend to have faster movesets, attack quicker and use less stamina but deal lighter damage. It’s one of the main reasons that there is no “correct” best weapon in these game: - as long as you build your character appropriately, any weapon and build is technically viable.
What this glitch managed to do was bypass the apparent “penalties” that heavy and damaging weapons were meant to have by tricking the game into letting you transfer the moveset of a faster weapon onto them while keeping the hard-hitting impacts.
The explanation for this can be a little off-putting, but watch any video to see the results and spare yourself the headache of trying to decipher the written description. Trust me, it's easier.
Although this does not work in the Remaster of Dark Souls, it is believed to work on all patches of the original game. So if you still have it, feel free to try it out.
