4. A Boss Rush Mode

Souls veterans often scoff at the idea of a Boss-rush mode. The argument is that it circumvents the point of playing the game. Each boss is supposed to be an encounter and by being able to skip to a certain boss you lose the momentous nature that the boss is supposed to embody.

But, when you've played the game a hundred times already the bosses already start to lose their grandeur and become more of a formality than anything. Thus, including the boss rush mode for players who have already beaten the game doesn't do anyone any harm.

It makes speedrunning easier as players can practice without having to play through the game again and again. It could offer its own set of unique challenges and rewards. And it could be completely optional meaning that the die-hards get their game and people who want a quick couple of bosses can have theirs.

Win, win.

I like video games, writing and writing about video games. Expect sarcasm and the dry wit of a Brit. And the occasional rant of a unhappy Scot. You know... the usual.
