Days Gone: 9 Helpful Gameplay Secrets You Need To Know
3. How To Smartly Use Saddlebags
The ammo system in Days Gone can be frustrating. Though you can find bullets out in the world, particularly in the backs of police cars, they can be easily wasted if not used carefully. No matter whether you've fired two bullets or are completely dry, a single ammo case will top you up, but it can only be used once.
The same goes for your bike saddlebags, which completely restock your bullets, but are pretty expense. Even the first tier is $400 for a single restock, so you need to use it sparingly.
However, there is a good way to save money later on when you have all the saddlebags and a good chunk of weapons. With this feature upgraded, it will cost you $1200 to replenish all three ammo packs on your motorcycle which, combined with restocking guns in the first place (that can cost upwards of $1000), transforms ammo into a premium purchase.
Consequently, you're better off focusing purely on the saddlebags, buying them all up, using one for your weapons, and buying one more to top up to save hundreds of dollars.
