Days Gone: 9 Helpful Gameplay Secrets You Need To Know

4. You're Invulnerable When You Dodge

Though it does dent the stamina bar quite considerably, the dodge is the most important move to master in Days Gone. Melee combat basically boils down to wailing on an enemy until they wind up for their own counter attack, dodging, and repeating this process until they're dead.

It's not just useful to avoid this specific incoming attack though, as dodging can be abused to give yourself a breather in pretty much any situation. You're invulnerable while dodging, which can be used to avoid taking damage if you're under heavy fire or want to make a risky dive into a horde of zombies to slip past them.

Sadly, the stamina system means you can't just spam the dodge button until you're totally out of danger, but if you activate a stamina cocktail before a fight, you shouldn't have too much to worry about.
