Destiny: 10 Missing Features It Desperately Needs

8. Sparrow Racing, Anyone?

This certainly isn't a design oversight, but it's an omission all the same. With Destiny's Sparrows, Bungie managed to whip up vehicles delivering levels of smoothness and sheer fun that would make any racer green in the face. Gone are the awkward days of Halo's Warthog and various flying contraptions; Sparrows truly glide over the landscape. There is no better way to explore Old Russia than to arc through its many canyons, nor are Venus' iridescent pools ever prettier than when split by the tail of a Sparrow. Bungie would be crazy not to capitalize on that, and what better way to do so than actual races? All it takes is a mission beacon and a few lap markers for all those landscapes to unfold as winding tracks.

A freelance games writer, you say? Typically battling his current RPG addiction and ceaseless perfectionism? A fan of horror but too big a sissy to play for more than a couple of hours? Spends far too much time on JRPGs and gets way too angry with card games? Well that doesn't sound anything like me.
