Destiny 2: Ranking All Exotic Weapons From Worst To Best

4. Coldheart

Destiny 2 exotic

It's unfortunate that one of the most useful guns in PvE is locked behind a pre-order wall until later this year, but for those who pre-ordered and have access to this gun, they have one of the most useful exotics in their arsenal.

Coldheart is unlike any exotic we've previously seen in Destiny. It's a trace rifle that fires one long, consistent beam of energy at an enemy and the longer the beam is fired at a single enemy the more damage the beam puts out. The sole purpose of this game is to pump as much DPS into a single enemy as possible. Which means that when it comes to bosses, this could be even more effective than power weapons if you can keep the beam on a critical spot.

The Coldheart has become almost essential for the raid, most importantly for the final encounter with Calus. The amount of damage you can pump out is some of the highest in the game.

However, as is with most PvE monsters, this gun doesn't hold its own in the Crucible. There's no denying though that its functionality and use in PvE completely makes up for its shortcomings in the Crucible.
