4. Play With Classic Sound Effects & Weapon Positioning

As if the events of this game's story weren't nostalgic and "OMG, what?!" enough, iD Software went all-out with various DOOM ephemera - if you bought the Deluxe Edition anyway.

Besides carrying through the option to centralise your weapon - like in the originals and 2016 after a patch - if you went Deluxe, there are classic sound options alongside.

To find, hop into the main menu, tab over to Audio and go right to the bottom.

Here you'll be able to toggle a "classic sound pack", which makes the shotgun, chainsaw, plasma rifle etc. all sound like it did back in the early 90s.
