The final thing to mention is one of the cooler mechanics of XenoVerse, and a cool little way to make a progression system that little bit more fun. As players progress through the game, they will be given the choice of a master from a range of classic Dragon Ball enemies and allies. It's a really cool system, as while you get the chance to develop your own skills, you'll learn particular combos, patterns and techniques from your master, ending up with this mish-mash of classic Dragon Ball and your very own fighting style. All in all, if you're a fan of the Dragon Ball series, you're gonna love this game, it seems to have ironed out all the kinks we've faced in the long back catalogue, and finally the 3D seems to work with the art style, not against it. The addition of a custom character central to the story is also something to be taken seriously for long time fans of the franchise. Equally, if you're not so much a fan of the series, but have always been interested in it from afar - this is a perfect jumping on point, as it's almost a 'greatest hits' compilation of Dragon Ball moments framed inside of a fast paced beat-em-up.
