E3: 10 Huge Nintendo Reveals You Need To See

4. Mario Maker

Ever dreamed of making your own Super Mario levels? Nintendo made this a reality with the confirmation of Mario Maker at their E3 event. Mario Maker allows players to build their own courses on the Wii U, using a range of tool, including pipes, enemies, bricks, coins and more familiar Mario items. Fans wanting to get their nostalgia fix can re-live classic Mario by creating levels in the classic 8-Bit style, whilst the New Super Mario Bros U 3D graphics are also on hand. Reminiscent of Super Nintendo€™s Mario Paint, a game that added a trackball mouse peripheral for a series of mini games and creative options such as painting and a music creator, Mario Maker even has a few nods back to this classic game by including Mario Paint noises and animations. It signifies a refreshing change for the Mario series, allowing fans to delve deeper and more personally into the gameplay, whilst also offering up something new for those wishing to get a little creative. Think Mario Paint and platforming meets Little Big Planet. No more information has been released as of yet, but the game is due for a release at some point in the first half of next year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLS458ekSEI
