9. The Last Guardian Returns From Development Hell
For fans of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, the release of The Last Guardian - the spiritual successor to both titles - has been a horrible ride. In and out of development constantly with controversy behind the scenes such as people leaving teams, The Last Guardian's road to development has been long, arduous and has actually lasted for more than an entire gaming generation. Let's not forget that this one was originally meant to be coming exclusively to PS3! We don't even honestly know that much about the game yet. What we do know is that it'll involve a human character interacting with a giant creature, but who knows if that's even true at this point? According to the most recent rumours surrounding this one, Sony is planning to reshow The Last Guardian, completely redone for PS4, at E3 2014.
