5. Time Traveling Once Again?

It would seem that Zelda is going back to its favorite story element: the manipulation of time. This is in connection to the story element that would see Link traveling through time to chase down the great evil moving through the past and present interchangeably. This would also open the door for time travel story concepts like a village destroyed in the future, forcing Link to travel to the past to save it.

It hasn't been explained if there'd be another Temple of Time-like means of traveling to the past, but it was explained that the antagonist would use a mysterious stone to time travel at will. There are several in-game mechanics, as well as boss-related alterations that time travel would affect, which will be discussed in better detail after this.

Likeliness of being true: 5/10.

It's not out of the question by any means, but considering Aonuma plans to make drastic changes to the Zelda formula, it's doubtful that he'll fall back on the time-travel concept. It is far more likely that the story will focus on the present day, like a plot similar to Skyward Sword's, but with the unique feel of Majora's Mask.
