E3 2016: 4 Ups & 7 Downs From Nintendo's Treehouse
3. Pokemon Go Plus Is $34.99

Nintendo confirmed that their upcoming free-to-play augmented reality game Pokemon Go will be available for iOS and Android from July, as well as revealing that a wrist-watch-like peripheral called Pokemon Go Plus, will ship for $34.99.
Doesn't that seem a bit much simply for the convenience of not having to whip out your phone every time you want to catch a Pokemon? Considering that it costs almost as much as a full Pokemon game at launch, it's probably best to take a "wait and see" approach with the tech, even if the free-to-play nature of the actual game itself does mitigate this cost somewhat.
Still, it's going to sell insanely well either way, regardless of the price.
