E3 2016: 6 Ups & 4 Downs From Ubisoft's Conference
8. Eagle Flight Looks Like A VR Bust
Ubisoft also have a finger in the VR pie like just about every company going, and took to the stage for a live gameplay demonstration of Eagle Flight running on the Oculus Rift.
The game sees the player navigate their bird of choice with their head movements, soaring through the air in team-based modes such as Catch The Prey (basically Capture the Flag but with a rabbit).
While the idea is certainly novel enough, the graphics were extremely underwhelming and this looked like something that would probably lose its fun appeal within about half an hour.
On the other hand, everyone playing did look pretty hilarious moving their heads around on stage.
