E3 2016: Battlefield 1 - 10 New Gameplay Details You Need To Know
3. Conquest Is Back, But Doesn't Rush Seem Like A Better Fit?
Conquest is Battlefield's go-to mode, so it's no real surprise to see it back once more for the franchise's fourteenth instalment. It's the appropriate mode to deliver a varied and teamwork-driven style of gameplay, but in the interest of authenticity, particularly in considering the contextual factors of trench warfare, wouldn't rush make a tad more sense to implement this time around? I mean, it practically seems born for it.
Rush was Bad Company 1 and 2's main mode, and considering that to many they are the series' finest releases, taking some maps and purpose-building them for that mode would seem like a good idea.
It would make trench warfare a viable style of gameplay to implement online, with two teams vying for control of key control points at various levels along a map - one attacking, and one defending. It's a fairly simple concept, but one that could easily be wasted if not given adequate attention in the run up to Battlefield's release.
