E3 2018: Every High-Profile Video Game Confirmed So Far
6. Anthem
I have to be honest: Does anyone care about Anthem?
Coming at a time when Bioware's reputation as a studio is in the doldrums, the only thing saving this from having a middle finger thrown its way is Mass Effect maestro Casey Hudson returning to the studio to work on it.
Many want "the next Mass Effect", but gameplay revealed so far points to a loot shooter with crafting components, microtransactions and standard "dynamic multiplayer interactions" so you can squad up and tackle enemies in teams.
Think Destiny, think Sea of Thieves, think Halo 5's bungled attempt to do the same thing. This really could go either way, but E3 is the one stage where everyone is the most receptive to being blown away.
