Rumble Johnsons omission from the game is somewhat understandable. He only returned to the UFC two months ago after he was initially cut from the promotion because of his frustrating inability to make weight. The Blackzillian first fought at 170-lbs before moving up to 185-lbs after he weighed in heavy on multiple occasions. When he failed to make the 185-lbs limit against perennial contender Vitor Belfort, he was understandably cut from the UFC. EA Sports game has been in development for some time so we could hardly have expected them to predict Rumbles incredible rise-from-the-ashes story which has seen him climb the ranks in his division. Now fighting at light heavyweight, Johnson seems to have finally found the weight class which best suits his build. Indeed, it is a great shock that the 62, heavy muscled fighter ever fought at welterweight. After a string of impressive victories at other promotions, the UFC decided to give Rumble another chance this chance would come in the form of an incredibly tough fight against Phil Davis. In the clash at UFC 172, Rumble made the skilled-grappler look like he didnt deserve to be in the Octagon with him; he threw Davis around the cage, easily stuffed his takedown attempts and bullied him on the feet. Playing as a fighter with such incredible knockout power and striking skills would be extremely enjoyable. His high rank as the fifth best fighter in the 205-lb division which could easily culminate in a title shot in the next three fights or so means that Rumble would be an excellent downloadable addition to the roster.
