Some might argue that Tyron Woodleys recent UFC outing has severely reduced the need for him to be featured in EA Sports game. Many believed TWood would overwhelm the talented Rory MacDonald and in so doing become the first man to attempt to dethrone Johny Hendricks. However, the American Top Team fighter looked shockingly hesitant and allowed Rory to use his superior reach to pick him apart. We had seen Woodley produce a very similar performance against Jake Shields. Woodley will have to rebuild some momentum after this crucial loss if he has a hope of ever holding 170-lb gold. He may have faltered at this hurdle but Woodley would still be an excellent fighter to add via DLC. In the fight prior to his disappointing performance against the Canadian, TWood had bulldozed his way through the incredibly dangerous Carlos Condit until a knee injury sustained by The Natural Born Killer forced the fight to end. His speed advantage had allowed him to close the distance and land his heavy right hand on Condit at will. As well as his dangerous striking, Woodley was also a talented collegiate wrestler and has certainly incorporated this skill set into his MMA arsenal. Tyron has proven himself to be easily one of the most dangerous men in the Octagon who has a frustrating habit of allowing nerves to force him to become uncertain in his abilities. In the game, Woodley would be an absolute killer as these psychological weakness would be completely removed, finally allowing the welterweight to realise his potential.
